It has been a dry hot summer. We broke high temperature records, over a hundred, day after day in July and August. The spring and early summer started cool and wet, so it is not as bad as last year when it turned hot and dry in June and the rivers ran low more than a month earlier than normal.
Hot summer weather brings lightening and the prospect of forest fires. The only good thing that comes from that is inspiring sunsets.
